Women in particular love getting tattooed on their lower back part. Aside from the importance that they place on their legs and hips, they prefer to further enhance their very own sexuality by means of having a tattoo design inked on their lower back skin. In the previous years, only the men were brave enough to sport their tattoos.
They believed that their masculinity can be more emphasized through them. However, due to the expanse of media influence, even the young college girls, women workers, and housewives have agreed to wear them.
In fact, several celebrities are proud to expose their own. Julia Roberts, Pamela Anderson, Debra Wilson, Angelina Jolie, among others are more than enough to convince the women to sport their lower back tattoo designs!
Enhancing one's beauty and sensuality bears no limitation. Others are even willing to go under the knife just so they can be more confident with their bodies. If done the right way, a lower back inked tattoo is no doubt going to be a really wonderful fashion accessory.
Many of those who wear the tattoo think of it as a fabulous body ornament. This side is actually true. Included in the top choices for tattoo designs are the butterfly, flower, dragon, Celtic, tribal, sun, heart, and star, to name a few of the most preferred designs.
Searching for the Perfect Design
What else is your best resource when it comes to the designs that will perfectly suit your lower back other than the Internet? Online tattoo libraries store numerous designs to choose from. You may take a look at the line of classic, contemporary, adventurous, up to the romantic styles. Your choice must be something that will provide a room for your self-expression. In order for the design to actually look stunning, the artist must be professional.
As you search for the perfect design, all that you must do is to type in the keyword using one of the leading search engines. The websites host a variety of designs which are up for sale while some are offered for free. Those that are for sale are typically offered in minimal prices.
Placing the Tattoo Design
Most women think that these designs are meant to be seen. After all, what is its significance if it will be completely hidden forever? There are appropriate times when it is alright to make them visible. In this sense, a lot of ladies wear a low waist pair of jeans with a hanging blouse. The term "tramp stamp" has popularized due to this practice. It practically doesn't mean a good thing. The general thought however is that having a tattoo inked on this portion has something to do with one's intention of going sensual.
The hourglass-like shape of a woman's body is more enhanced with this small ornament. Usually revealed in the nighttime, women like to expose their markings as they go to parties and other forms of social events.
Tips to Take Note of
Before getting the actual lower back tattoo design, better practice yourself to lay on your stomach for about an hour. You see, the process may take longer. It is also necessary that you shave any hair on the surface. Be sure to wear a loose fitting pair of jeans to prevent any disturbance to the newly done tattoo. Most importantly, think of your decision several times. Once you have it, it will be hard to take it off.

5 Easy Ways To Get Your Creative Juices Going
Writing an article doesn’t just mean putting down thoughts into words then typing and writing it. You have to capture the interest of your readers and get them to keep on reading. To send your message across you have to get the attention of the reader and have a firm grasp of their interest and pique their curiosity.
The main ingredient in baking up an article is a large dose of creativity. While creativity may come natural to many people, some just gets into a block or something to that effect that can drive someone crazy. Many writers have literally torn their hair out when they get writers block and just can’t seem to get their creative juices flowing.
Putting words into images in the readers mind is an art. A clear and crisp depiction requires a certain flair that only creativity can provide. Similes and metaphors help a lot, but the way an article gets entwined word for word, sentence by sentence then paragraph by paragraph into a whole article develops the essence of the article.
So just what do you have to do when nothing comes to mind? There is no surefire ways to get the perfect ideas but there are easy ways to get your creative juices flowing. No one can guarantee you of having the perfect mindset but many methods may aid you in achieving that state of mind. Here are five easy ways for that.
1) Keep a diary or a journal with you always. Ideas can be triggered by anything you may hear, see, or smell. Your senses are your radar in finding great ideas. Write all of them into a journal and keep it with you for future reference. You may also write down anything that you have read or heard, someone’s ideas could be used to develop your own ideas and this is not stealing. Remember that ideas and creativity can come from anywhere; it’s the development of the idea that makes it unique.
2) Relax and take time to sort things out. A jumbled mind cannot create any space for new ideas. Everyone must have a clear mind if one wishes to have their creativity in full speed. Get rid of all obstacles that can be a hindrance to your creativity. If you are bothered by something, you cannot force your mind to stay focused.
Try to relax every time that you can and think about your experiences and interactions with others. Your experiences are what shape your mindset and your opinions which could be reflected on your writings. Try to discover yourself, find out what triggers your emotions. Discover what inspires you and what ticks you off. You can use these emotions to help you in expressing yourself and your ideas, with this you can grow creatively.
3) Create a working place that can inspire your creativeness. Your working place can be quite a hindrance if it doesn’t make you feel happy or relaxed. Creativity comes from being in a good state of mind and a messed up workplace that causes distraction won’t be conducive in firing up your creative flow.
Surround your working place with objects that makes you happy and relaxed. You may put up pictures, or scents, objects that inspire, or anything that can get your creativeness cranking. A clean and well organized workplace also rids of distractions and unwanted hindrances. With a good working place, you can work in peace and never notice the time pass by.
4) Set the mood. Setting the mood requires you to just go with the moment or to induce your self to feeling what makes your mind works best. Finding out what makes you tick could help you find ways to get your creative juices flowing. Set the pace and tempo for your mood and everything else will follow.
There are many ways to set the mood. Some writers have been known to use alcohol, a little sip of wine to stir up the imagination. Some would like some mood music while others let the lighting of the environment create the mood.
5) Go on a getaway and just do something crazy. Letting yourself go and have fun produces adrenaline that can make your imagination go wild. Take an adventure or a solemn hike. Whatever it is that is unusual from your daily routine can take the rut out of your schedule. In no time at all, your creativeness will make use of that experience and get your imagination to go on overdrive.

Second Mortgage: What Is It Exactly?
Everyone has heard a friend or relative complain about having to take out a second mortgage but don’t really know what that means. Let’s find out!
The real term for this is called a home equity loan. This is a common loan type that homeowners can use for whatever they want.
A home equity loan requires that you use your house for collateral just like a normal home loan. There are different types of home equity loan out there and you can always use the money for whatever you want.
College, bills, and home repairs are some common uses. You will need outstanding credit to be approved for this kind of loan though.
A closed end type home equity loan gives you a big chunk of money immediately and you can’t get another loan until this one is fully paid.
The amount you can get depends on factors such as how much your home is worth, your income, credit score, and similar things. A closed end loan usually comes as a fixed rate type and allows you up to 15 years to pay it off.
An open ended home equity loan is a little different. This loan will let you borrow money whenever you have a need for it.
The loan lender will set up a line of credit that is pretty much based on all the same factors as the closed end loan. These usually have an adjustable rate and you can make payment for 10, 15, or even 30 years.
So why are these called second mortgages? Because you are adding yet another loan payment that uses your house as collateral and adding another monthly payment. Though tempting, it can cause you a lot of problems in the future.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and the Guillotine Choke
The guillotine choke is one of many submission holds in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Chances are, you have seen this countless times during MMA events.
But why do you see it often? The answer is very simple. The opponent gets into the right position that the more skills fighter sees and then executes it properly. This happens every time when that person puts their head outside of the opponents’ body so don’t you think this is worth learning?
There are two types of guillotine choke. There is the blood choke and the air choke. If you apply pressure using your forearm against your opponent’s windpipe, then you achieve an air choke. If this is placed on the arteries of the neck, then you have a blood choke.
In addition to the two types of chokes, you should also know that this can be done while you are standing or on the ground. Most fighters do it while they are standing because of better leverage in this position. If you are on the ground, you have to get your opponent first into a full guard position.
Now it is time to learn how to choke.
Let’s make it simple by starting in a standing position and perform the regular guillotine choke. You have to first pull your opponent’s head down by placing your hand on his neck or by pulling down on his GI so he is facing the ground.
Now put your arm around his neck into a position similar to a headlock. Slide your forearm down under his chin and around his neck making sure that the blade of your forearm is against his neck.
Then grasp the wrist of your choking arm with your free hand. Keep this grip on his neck tightly so that his head is wedged under your arm.
Place one leg slightly forward, stand up straight and twist your hips in the direction of your forward leg whichever you are using to execute this choke.
A more complicated version is the spine locking guillotine choke. Here, you start by bringing your opponent’s head down and wrap your arms around his head which is similar to the regular guillotine choke.
Using your forearm, turn your opponent’s head towards the hand of your choking arm so can put pressure on his spine.
Put your free hand on your opponent’s back on the same side of his head as your free hand. Then grasp the wrist of your planted hand with the hand of your choking arm and lean back.
If executed properly, your opponent has no choice but to surrender. If they don’t, they will become unconscious in the next few seconds. This move is not only used in competition but also in the street so you just have to practice how to do it.
Aside from the guillotine choke, there are other moves in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu you can learn and apply in and outside the ring.
After all, this can only be used when you are in front of the opponent. There are ways to subdue them when you are able to go behind them or on their side. You just have to listen to your instructor and watch how these are done so you can spar with someone in order to do it correctly.

How to Choose Golf Shoes
Your swing will change, your accuracy and distance will improve with practice, and you’ll become deadly with a putter, but you will always do these things while standing on your feet.
Your feet need to be comfortable! Have you ever developed a blister while walking or running? It’s all you can think about and it ruins the experience. Don’t let uncomfortable shoes ruin your golf game.
This is one area where you shouldn’t let your frugality make the decision for you. You will be wearing these shoes many times and they should be considered an investment.
Comfort should be your biggest concern when buying shoes. Your foot should not move at all on your heel when you walk, yet your toes shouldn’t feel cramped. Have you shoes professional fit to your feet and walk around in them before you buy them.
Proper golf shoes should be waterproof so that your feet remain dry in damp conditions. Good socks are important too; they will wick perspiration away from you feet, keeping your feet dry and comfortable.
All golf courses prohibit metal spiked shoes in the effort to protect their delicate greens. Purchase shoes that allow you to change the rubber spikes easily, and while you’re there, purchase some extras. You never know when you might lose one. Replace the spikes when they become worn.
With all the things you have to worry about while playing golf, your feet shouldn’t be one of them. When it comes to golf footwear, quality counts.

Fishing from a boat is great fun for the whole family. It gives you access to those special fishing spots that can't be reached by land. Best of all, once you own a boat, every weekend is a family vacation.
Many people are surprised by how affordable it is to buy a fishing boat. But with so many options available, choosing one that fits your needs and budget can seem a bit daunting. To help simplify the process, here are a few tips for first-time buyers from the experts at the Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation (RBFF).
1. How will you use it? Although fishing may be your primary activity, are there other things your family might want to do, such as water-skiing or cruising? Consider how many people you'll want to accommodate.
2. Where will you go? Do you plan to go on a lake, river or larger body of water, such as the Great Lakes or the ocean? If you plan to use your boat for overnight trips, look for one with a cabin, head and galley.
3. What's your budget? In assessing costs, factor in operating expenses such as fuel and maintenance, as well as dry-stack storage or slip fees if you plan to dock at a marina. If it starts looking a bit pricey, don't fret. A basic rowboat and trolling motor can be had for less than $2,000. You can also save by trailering your boat and using it for day trips.
4. New or used? If your budget is tight, a used boat is a good alternative. If you go for a new one, make sure it is National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) certified.
5. Financing. Boats can be financed for extended terms, which helps keep the monthly payment low. Get in touch with a National Marine Bankers Association (NMBA) lender, or visit DiscoverBoating.com for more tips and a handy loan calculator.
6. Test the waters. Before you buy, rent a boat from a local marina and go fishing for the day. It's a great way to get the family hooked and helps you decide on the right boat for you.

5 Useful Tips On Trout Fishing
In fishing, trout are one of the favorite “fishing friends” of most anglers. These crafty fish are abundant anywhere. The native habitat of these crafty fish depends on the type of trout.
For brook trout, the native habitat includes the territory from Labrador westward to the Saskatchewan, while the rainbow trout is a native of the Pacific slope from Alaska to California.
On the other hand, brown trout has found its way into the waters of every state in the United States except Florida, Arkansas, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Dakota, Oklahoma, and Texas. It has been reported in the waters of some of these states, but according to conservation officials, no authentic reports have been received. It is also found in many parts of Canada.
In trout fishing, there are some factors that need to be considered in order to have a successful catch.
1. For trout fishing, the leader should not be greased. It will not sink far enough to cause any difficulty when picking the line and lure from the water, but if it is allowed to float; it will cast a shadow on the bottom of the stream which may scare the trout.
2. The trout is one of the fishes that are usually secured through the use of the dry fly. For trout, the current as well as the pools should be fished. It may sometimes be a bit difficult to keep the fly from sinking or dragging because of the various conditions of the current, but this is a matter that the angler will have to figure out for himself.
3. It is not good practice when fishing for trout to fish directly upstream so the flies, line, and leader will float directly over fish. The fisherman should make the cast from one side of the stream so the fly will only float over the fish.
4. It is important to make the first cast the best. A feeding trout will usually strike the first lure presented if it is cast so that it will float over his private domain. The angler should never fail to fish the lower end of the pool first even if the trout are rising in the middle or upper end.
5. Trout are sometimes very moody or selective and will try the patience of any angler; hence, possibly a fly with less hackle will do the trick or it may be necessary to use a spent-wing fly or a fan wing.
Indeed, catching trout fishes can be lots of fun. The anglers just have to remember these tips in order to have a happy catch.

4 Unique Ways to Get Out of The Doghouse with Your Girlfriend
1. Hire a Mariachi Band or Local Acapella Group to Serenade Her
Unless she truly hates you, this will surely put a smile on her face and have her inviting you back into her comfort zone again.
Be sure to pick a humorous or joyful song; go for a sense of fun, not desperation.
2. Pay a Homeless Guy $5 to Hold Up a Sign for Her
If you live in a major metropolitan area, chances are you and your girlfriend regularly walk by homeless people.
They would love to have $1, let alone $5. Find a homeless person along the route she usually walks on her way to work.
Come up with a witty sign, like "Angela, John Would Like to Apologize for Going to Poker Night Instead of Visiting with You and Your Family. Will you Forgive him? - From John"
Or whatever -- be sure to be creative and witty. I guarantee she will get a kick out of this. You might have to show the homeless guy a picture of her so he knows he needs to get her attention, but having her name on the sign should do the trick.
3. Propose Marriage to Her at a Baseball Game
This one only works if she will go with you to a sporting event. During 7th inning stretch, half-time or throughout the event, they will often post announcements up on the big screen displays throughout the stadium.
Before the game, visit the gaming office where you can tell them to make these announcements, and say that you'd like to make on for a wedding proposal. (or perhaps just to say hi, if she wouldn't react nicely to a full-on practical joke like this!)
Be sure to keep an eye on the big screen throughout the game, so as not to miss the announcement.
4. Write Your Message in the Sky
We've all seen this in the movies, but how many people actually have the guts to go through with it in real life?
For as little as $100, you can hire an airplane to fly a message to your girlfriend across the sky.
Kooky, I know. But good for a laugh, huh! ;-P
Oh, and get more nooky here!

Writing For Magazines
If you want to make it as a professional writer, you will eventually need to be branch out into the world of magazines. While many new writers are intimidated by the major magazines and editors, it is important to realize that they are not so different from any other publication.
Aside from the fact that they print monthly, most magazines are just looking for knowledgeable writers who have a passion for their subject. If you want to write for magazines, or any other publication, simply write what you know and the rest will fall into place. As you progress through your career, you may want to experiment with subjects that require research.
The best approach to writing for magazines is to scour the supermarket for a few magazines that cover a favorite sport, hobby or subject that you are most knowledgeable about. Pick up a few copies and browse through the table of contents page. There is generally a tab featuring the names of editors, along with a mailing address for the magazine, a website and perhaps an e-mail address.
Contact the editors directly and inquire about writing for their publication. If requested, send samples of your work and several ideas for a column that you would like to write. It isn't necessary to have previously published work samples, but it may help to show the editor that other publications, including local newspapers, have published your work.
When speaking to magazine editors, always remember to be yourself. If you try to sound a certain way that you think editors want to hear, they will see right through the disguise. Magazines naturally invoke intimidation, but editors are just people too. Be personable and friendly, laugh if something is funny and speak to them as you would an old friend. If they like who you are, they will like your writing. The people who read magazines are people just like you and they want to read something written by a genuine person.
If you have trouble launching your career in the world of magazines, or cannot quite convince the editor to give you a try, don't give up. Start with smaller magazines and work your way up to the top. In some cases, it may even help to write several free articles just to get your foot in the door. This will provide you with previously published work samples and a background in writing.
A final thought when writing for magazines relates to dealing with rejection. There are some editors who are as nice as your next door neighbor and others who are not. Just as with any career, there are good and bad jobs and bosses. The trick is to accept rejection, whether put nicely or not, and move on.
In the world of magazines, there is a lot of competition and it takes work to get noticed. Learn from criticism, grow from it and allow it to make you a better writer. At the same time, don't be afraid to stand up for your work. Know that there is always room for improvement, but be proud of what you have done thus far.

Animation And Game Design Going To The Movies
Animation and game design have, for the most part, fallen into two categories in the past. You either worked on animation for children’s movies or you focused on animation for video games. Today, however, many young animators are realizing that their opportunities are becoming much more diverse as the movie graphic novel and video gaming industries have begun to overlap.
Merging of Media
Today more and more video games are becoming movies. Successes in the last decade include Doom, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat and Tomb Raider. All of these movies were based on popular video games that had been created by animation and gaming professionals. The movie directors discovered that, in order to maintain the look and feel of the games, they had to get to know these games inside and out. They often called on game design experts as consultants to help them achieve this. There are few people as loyal as gaming enthusiasts, so capturing the proper look and feel was essential to the success of these films.
Graphic novels, a writing genre known for its highly graphic illustrative style, have also spawned movies recently. The two most notable are Sin City and 300, both based on violent, action-packed graphic novels. In both instances, the movies were directed with actors but relied heavily on computer graphics, computer design and, in some instances, animation, to enhance particular scenes and enrich the details. The success of these two movies in turn created video games based on the movies (which were based on graphic novels)...are you seeing the pattern now? Anyone with animation and game design credentials these days can go into a wide range of fields, not just game design. When the genres overlap, so do job opportunities.
Where the Talent Lies – Animation and Game Design
Hollywood is also producing more animated movies that ever before for family consumption. Cars, A Bug’s Life, Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Happy Feet, and the list goes on. Disney Studios continue to produce the traditional “princess” movies, but a dozen other studios also produce quality animation.
While a generation ago animation was done using thousands of artist’s sketches put together to create action, today’s animated movies are created with computer animation, and individuals with Animation and Game Design degrees are hot properties. Studios know that those with game design experience have an understanding of the complexities of movement, from the way the wind ruffles your hair to how someone lands when they fall, that no one else can match. Gamers are tough customers. They expect realism and accuracy and they get it. This has translated into increasing attention to detail in animated films. The more sophisticated the audience becomes, the more these industries have to work at giving the public what it wants.
The Future of Animation and Game Design
With the growing overlap of so many genres of entertainment, graphic novels, movies and video games, it is obvious that the need for professionals with both animation and game design skills will only increase. Whether you want to work in Silicon Valley or Hollywood, a degree in some kind of animation and game design area will get your foot in the door.

The Emerald Buddha
The Emerald Buddha is a figurine of a sitting Budha, that is the is the palladium of the Kingdom of Thailand. The Buddha is made of green jade, suprisingly not of emerald, clothed in gold is approximately 45 cm tall. The Buddha is kept in the Chapel of the Emerald Buddha, which is located on the grounds of the Grand Palace in Bangkok.
Legend tells that that the Emerald Buddha was created in Pataliputra, India, which is now the city of Patna in 43 BCE by Nagasena. Other great historians beleive that it belongs to the Chiang Saen Style of the 15th century. The legend says that, it remained in Pataliputra for 300 hundred years, until it was taken to Sri Lanka to save it from a civil war. It was then in 457, that King Anuruth of Burma sent out orders to Ceylon to ask for the Emerald Buddha and Buddhist scriptures. These actions took place by the king, to try and support Buddhism in his country. This request was granted, however the ship that was brining the Buddha to Burma, became lost in a storm and ended up in Cambodia. The Buddha made it's way through several hands after that: Ayutthaya, Kamphaeng Phet, Lao and finally Chiang Rai. It was finally in Chiang Rai that the ruler of the city hid it.
It wasn't until 1434 that sources indicate the resurfacing of the statue in Northern Thailand. There is one story about the discovery: "lightning struck a pagoda in a temple in Chiang Rai, after which something became visible under the stucco. The Emerald Buddha was dug out and the people thought the figurine was made from emerald, hence its current name."
Although, the Buddha is just a simple jade statue, it is dressed with garments that are made of fine gold. The Buddha's clothing are changed by the King of Thailand, to celebrate the chaning of seasons. This occurs three times a year: 1st Waning of Lunar Month 4, 8 and 12.

Green and Black Tea are Great for Your Health
Many cultures around the world drink tea. Some people drink tea as part of social interaction, and others drink it for their health. Specific teas, such as black tea and green tea, have been tested for their positive affects on people's health. And studies have shown that these two teas can in fact benefit your body. And not just by providing a little pick me up in the morning either. Studies have shown that green tea can slow the growth of cancer cells.
Everyone should take notice of these anti-carcinogenic properties, especially in an age of tremendous pollution. Studies by the National Cancer Institute, in America, have shown that powerful plant antioxidants within the tea will stunt the progression of cancerous cells. The cancer preventing properties of tea are just one of the wonderful properties of the drink.
Black tea has been found to increase the presence of certain anti-bacterial proteins in the body. Not just by a little bit either, but a considerable amount. When compared to coffee drinkers, tea drinkers actually had a concentration of disease preventing protein that was 400% higher. Clearly, these are significant health benefits to be had from drinking tea.
There are even more benefits though. Mental acuity can be increased as well. A study of elderly people found that those who drink tea actually reduce their risk of mental problems by half when compared to people who don't drink tea. And the tea drinkers only had to drink a couple cups a day to realize those amazing benefits.
Green tea can help increase the rate at which calories are burned in the body. The chemicals found in green tea allow the body to more efficiently burn fat for energy. Evidence also exist to show that drinking this type of tea can help the body reduce chemicals associated with stress. While this tea forestalls senility, it also more generally improves brain functioning in all segments of the population. The caffeine contained in green tea will help improve memory and give one sharper thinking.
This tea also contains chemicals specific to plants that slow down the growth of bacteria that cause bad breath. The health benefits of drinking green and black teas are quite remarkable. The same chemicals that slow bad breath can also help people with certain bowel diseases. The bacteria limiting properties of the tea helps ease the discomfort associated with such complications.
While there are obviously a myriad of health benefits directly related to the physical properties of these teas, there is also mental health relaxation that is associated with preparing a warm beverage. Taking time out of your day to prepare something that is nourishing to your body can really allow you to calm down and retreat from the stresses of everyday life.
Learning about all the different types of teas can be quite an enjoyable experience. Not only will you learn about the disparate boiling techniques for each tea, but you will learn each every tea's specific chemical properties.

Meaning of the Evil Eye
Why the Evil Eye bead is more than just a good luck charm:
The Evil Eye is more than just a superstitious myth, and evil eye beads are more than just good luck charms. They are a reminder that we are all one people.
How's that?
Take an Orthodox from Greece, a Catholic from Mexico, a Jew from Israel, or a Muslim from Turkey, Iran, or anywhere in the Middle East. Different people, different religions, everybody always fighting all the time, etc, etc.
But what do they all have in common? They all believe in the Evil Eye, and they all wear these good luck charms to guard against it.
The Evil Eye is a reminder that underneath it all, we are all the same human beings, even if we think we're different.
In our eyes, that's what makes the evil eye REALLY cool!
Enough editorial, now for the straight story...
Throughout the Mediterranean and Middle East, many people believe envious gazes or high praise from others can bring you bad luck.
The people who praise you probably mean you no harm, but still, evil spirits can piggyback in on their words or looks, and put a bad luck curse on you.
The Nazar Boncuk charm (or Evil Eye Bead) is an "eye", often set on a blue background. It stares back at the world to ward off the evil spirits and keep you safe from harm. It is one of the most common items of decoration in any Turkish home, in any car, or on any person. You can see the charm hanging above doorways, dangling from the wrists of young women, or even planted right into the cement outside modern office buildings. And always, always, you will see them pinned to the shirts of newborn babies.
What do the colors mean? In Turkey and surrounding countries, the most popular evil eye charm color is blue. Turkey is in a dry part of the world, where water is precious -- with water things prosper and grow, and without it, things shrivel and die. The color blue reminds people of fresh, cool water.
In the Jewish faith, the color red is often associated with luck and good fortune, so red is also a popular color.
When the Evil Eye Bead appears in other colors besides blue or red, it is usually for fashion reasons -- color coordination with one's wardrobe. Beads in the alternative colors have every bit as much protective power as the traditional blue ones.
Evil eye beads go back thousands of years. The earliest written references to the evil eye occur on Sumerian clay tablets dating to the third millennium BC. Agate beads of exceptional quality, worn to protect the wearer from the influence of the evil eye, were also discovered in royal Sumerian graves at Ur.
In Turkey and Greece, throughout the republics of Central Asia, and all the way to the Turkic regions of western China -- the effects of the "evil eye" are believed real, and genuinely feared.

Six Branches Of Yoga

Tantra Yoga
Tantra Yoga is the path of ritual and perhaps the most misunderstood path. Some may think of Tantra Yoga as sorcery, witchcraft, magic spells or some mysterious formula. Most people perceive Tantra Yoga as sexual. All of these perceptions are far from the truth.
Tantra is the knowledge concerning Tattva (Truth or Brahman) and Mantra (mystic syllables). It utilizes rituals to respectfully experience the sacred in everything we do, not just sex - though sex is a part of it. It aims to expand our awareness in all states - whether awake or asleep. Tantra Yoga practitioners must have purity, humility, devotion, courage, dedication to his Guru, cosmic love, faithfulness, contentment, dispassion, non-covetousness, and truthfulness.
I hope this helps to make it all a bit clearer!

7 Hard Saddlebags For Motorcycles
The market for hard saddlebags may have shrunk but there are still some manufacturers who continue to manufacture stylish bags. These manufacturers even offer matching brackets so that you can install the saddlebag with ease.
If you are looking for a hard saddlebag then you should look for three features: the bags should be waterproof, should be lockable and detachable. You should also be careful about the size of the bag. Often, the size may be misleading. This is because the hard bags, unlike soft bags, are not expandable, and have stiff internal lining that reduces storage area.
Here is a brief outline of hard saddlebags:
1. AUBURN LEATHER LEGEND BAGS: These bags come in two styles: bolt-on and throw-over, and are made of black American cowhide. They are classy looking with lock-stitched and stress-riveted seams and zinc-plated steel rivets. They have a hard back and their interiors are reinforced with ABS and HDPE plastic. The size of these bags is 12 inches by 13.5 inches by 6 inches.
2. BOSS BAGS: The Boss Bags are made of premium leather with heavy plastic reinforcing in the interiors. They are available in plain black leather or with trimmings. They have lockable lids and quick-release buckle straps. Each bag comes with a fiberglass mounting system.
3. PATRIOT HARDBAGS: These bags are known for their sleek styling and high-quality fit. They are 26 inches by 9.5 inches by 14.5 inches with a 35-liter capacity. Their side-mounting units are made of fiberglass. An additional feature is a watertight gasket seal that keeps rain water from entering.
4. CORBIN BEETLE BAGS: These bags are made according to the shape of motorcycles. This gives them a unique fit, and look. They are made of Fibertech and have a smooth finish. Their sizes may vary but their capacity is around 30 liters per bag.
5. GIVI LUGGAGE CRUISER: Givi’s bags, also known as Cruiser bags, are made of polypropelene. They are 16.7 inches by 13.7 inches by 7.7 inches with a capacity of 21 liters. They have side-mounting units and are sold as a pair. They are very light and come in a variety of finishes.
6. NATIONAL CYCLE CRUISELINER SADDLEBAGS: These bags are made from a high-density polymer that makes them dent-resistant. They normally have high-gloss black finish, but custom color matching is also possible. The size of these bags is 24.5 inches by 14 inches by 7.5 inches.
7. SADDLEMEN DESPERADO SADDLEBAGS: These hard bags come with inner stiffeners that maintain their shape even when the bags are empty. They come in several shapes, with each shape meant for a specific bike model.

The Advantages of Slow Down Guitar Software
To some people using a slow down guitar software program seems useless as they think this won't help at all. They have a good reason to say that, as slow down guitar software will never make you a professional player. However, they are not quite correct considering that even if slow down guitar software will not transform you into a professional it can help you a lot in improving your skills faster than ever.
We all know that becoming a great guitar player gets a lot of talent, practice and patience but these kinds of programs are very useful for the less advanced players, as they can help them reach a certain high level faster than they would by using other methods.

Well, this is the main aspect that slow down guitar software can help you with. These kinds of programs will surely make you never lose your interest for guitar during the lessons you take because you can always learn to play a piece from time to time.
Knowing how to handle the guitar while playing your favorite songs will surely be a great benefit in your becoming guitar player. One by one, you will quickly and easily learn how to play pieces by Joe Satriani, Eric Clapton or Jimmy Page.

Learning so fast might seem impossible for some but is not that difficult with slow down guitar software if we consider what these programs can do. When someone hears a song played note by note, he or she will find it much easier to handle with playing it. Besides, when the player learns the piece he or she can start playing it at different speeds due to the speed trainer option. This option is also very useful for the more advanced players as they can often practice different pieces with different speeds. In time, this can only allow them to improve their style while having fun. Planning A Charity Golf Tournament
Looking for tips on planning a charity golf tournament? There are many factors to consider, so I'll stick to the four main ones for this article. The success of your charity golf event revolves around maximizing player turnout, increasing pledge sizes, obtaining sponsored prizes, and planning tips.
Player Turnout
Your success depends on how many players your golf event draws and how actively you have your players solicit sponsors for their own rounds.
To maximize turnout, you need to get major publicity for your event. That means putting out multiple press releases, getting local media coverage from newspapers and television stations, and placing ads in the sports section of the local paper.
For the best results, put your press releases out through PR Web. Appoint a spokesperson to handle all media contacts and follow-up. For more tips, read my article on fundraising publicity.
Charity Pledges
The key is getting each player to collect a certain amount of pledges. I recommend a minimum of $100 per player in pledges. I've also played in tournaments where that number was $250 per player.
Obviously, you want to motivate the participants to raise as much money as possible. Some groups offer incentives for the top pledge getters. Others seek corporate sponsorships for that firm's players.
Pledge amounts determine the success of your charity golf event, so get input from experienced golfers and golf pros in your area.
Top Golfer Prizes
Generally speaking, you'll draw more golfers if you have great prizes for longest drive, closest to the hole, hole in one, lowest team score, lowest actual score, and best adjusted score (handicap).
You solicit local merchants to sponsor those prizes. Work with an insurance-related prize company for things like the hole-in-one contest. That way you can offer a bigger prize for a much lower outlay.
Aim to get 100 golfers (25 foursomes) and your small group could easily raise $10,000 or more. Larger turnouts will net even more with some charity golf tournaments drawing 500 golfers competing for big prizes.
Plan Ahead
Obviously, bigger pledges, more golfers, corporate sponsorships combined with massive publicity will work wonders for the bottom line of your charity golf tournament. With the right combination of these factors and good advance planning, you can certainly raise $75,000 or more for a charitable cause.
Contact local courses for group rates. Be sure to mention that you are planning a charity event and ask for discounts on cart and greens fees. Once you decide on your preferred location, reserve the date and tee times well in advance.
Charity Golf Event - Final Tips
Plan ahead to maximize the success of your charity golf event. For best results, pick a weekday when courses and large blocks of tee times will be easier to reserve. You'll often get the best rates by going to the course in person and talking to the pro or pro shop manager.
Corporate sponsors are another good way to go. Get some celebrities to golf with corporate bigwigs and you can easily raise $100k-$150k. Of course, convincing celebrities to donate their time takes some doing, but it's well worth it.
If it's your first golf tournament, be open to suggestions from other golfers. Consider working with a fundraising consultant who specializes in organizing charity golf tournaments. They work for a percentage of the gross, but you usually end up raising more funds due to their experience and sponsor contacts.

Aging Wine
Wine is a complex substance. Open a bottle of it now, and it may taste fine. Open a bottle of the same wine several years from now, and the wine becomes something else entirely. Rough edges in the flavor will have smoothed out and the overall flavor of the wine will be more balanced and mellow.
Why age wine?
Well, as stated above, the many components of the wine will mellow out over time, and bring a harmonious balance to the flavor of the wine. The tannins, present in red wine, bring a bitter and astringent flavor. Given time, the tannins help to age the wine. As wine ages, the tannins precipitate out of the wine, leaving a smoother and more mellow flavor.
As the wine ages, the acids will lose a bit of their bite, allowing the fruit to come out more. As the components of the wine age, they also bring more complexity to the flavor. What you end up with after several years of proper aging is a complex and balanced wine.
What wines should be aged?
There are certain guidelines as to what wines should and should not be aged, but they are simply guidelines, not hard and fast rules. Most wines from California are meant to be consumed immediately, and should not be aged. Most white wines should not be aged, as they have a lower amount of tannins than red wine. It is the tannins that are present in red wine that allow the wine to age well. There are a few white wines, however that will improve with a couple of years of aging.
Most wines under $25 don't need to be aged. Many French wines are meant to age and mature over several years. There are exceptions to these rules. Go into a wine shop, and ask which wines they would recommend for aging. They can recommend several good wines, along with some ideas of how long to age the wine.
How do I age wine?
Proper storage is essential for a wine to age well. Cooler temperatures slow down the aging process, allowing time for the complexity of the wine to develop. The wine should be stored at a constant temperature of 50-60 degrees F. Fluctuating temperatures will cause the wine and the cork to expand and contract, loosening the cork, and exposing the wine to oxygen. The wine should be stored on it's side, so that the wine is in contact with the cork, preventing it from drying out. The storage area should be dark, and have plenty of moisture to keep the cork from drying, which may loosen it, and subject the wine to oxidation.
Once you have a proper storage area for your wine, go to your local wine shop, and get their recommendations on a good aging wine. Buy a case of wine, and then open up one of the bottles when you get home and taste it.
Put the rest of the bottles in storage, and start opening them after a couple of years, and note how the flavors and the complexity of the wine have changed. A new bottle of wine may be good, but a properly aged bottle is even better.

Causes of Acne
Acne is an inflammatory skin disease that is caused due to certain biological variations in the pilosebaseous units (skin structures consisting of a hair follicle and its connecting sebaceous gland) of the skin. The most common form of acne known as "acne vulgaris” usually appears during adolescence.
Acne is caused due to excessive oil in human body. The glands in the skin secrete excessive amount of oil that block the hair follicles by combining naturally with the dead skin cells. Generally, people who eat a lot of oily food suffer from this problem.
Due to acne some parts of the human body are affected. Some of them are face, arms etc. The oil secretions behind the blocked pores create a perfect environment for uncontrolled multiplication by the bacteria in the skin. In response, the skin inflames, producing the visible lesion (acne). Rashes are occurred on the body. The face, upper arms, back and chest are especially affected by acne.
The certain lesions of acne are: blackish elevations or pale yellow and/or small whitish bumps. More inflamed rashes take the shape of boil-like tender swellings or reddish bumps. After resolution of the blemishes, prominent unsightly acne scars may remain.
The acne condition is common in puberty as a result of an abnormal response to normal levels of the male hormone testosterone. Acne occurs when the hormones are increased due to excess oil in the body. There is however no way to predict how long acne will take to disappear completely or that it will ever recur again.
Acne affects a large percentage of humans at some stage in life. Apart from leaving behind the marks of scars it has some psychological effects as well causing stress and depression. Therefore acne should not be neglected and should be treated with great care and responsibility to ensure a healthy life.

Learning The Basic Commands Of Dog Training
Wanting a calm and obedient dog is important for a dog owner for a number of reasons. Well-trained and obedient dogs are often happier and less aggressive with other dogs and people. The law is another reason for a well-trained dog; many cities have ordinances requiring properly behaved dogs. This is true for certain breeds that are reputed to have aggression and other behavior issues, such as Pit Bulls and Rottweilers.
Training your dog well will make him a much better family companion, especially if you have children. Studies show that basic dog training can help to down the number of dog bites and other bad behaviors.
If you are thinking about training your dog or enlisting the help of a professional, there are certain basic commands that you and the dog should learn well in order for the dog to be considered trained. These basic commands are:
• Heel – it is important a dog learn to walk next to his owner on a loose leash, without pulling or being pulled
• Respond to “No” – This can save you and your dog a lot of trouble.
• Sit – This command is very basic and one of the most important.
• Stay – A well-trained dog should learn to stay where you tell him.
• Down – More than just a cute trick, down is a key element of a basic dog training program.
There is more to dog training than teaching obedience. Training your dog can help to create and strengthen your bond. Because dogs are pack animals by nature, they look to a leader for guidance. The key to successful dog training is to make sure you are the leader.
Establishing yourself as pack leader to your dog is very important. Each dog pack only has one leader, and in your case, it must be you, the human. Without this, there will be many behavior issues to deal with.
A well-trained dog will respond to all of your commands, and will not be anxious, confused, or belligerent. Any good dog training program focuses on teaching the dog what is expected of him, and will utilize positive reinforcement to reward desired behaviors.
Obedience training is not only great for you, but it helps your dog as well. It fulfills his need for physical activity, security, and trust between you and him. Dog training provides your dog with an important task, and a goal to reach.
Giving the dog a job can be crucial to his well-being. Dogs were originally bred by humans complete important tasks with them and for them. Most dogs today are merely pets, and have no important job to do. This can lead to boredom and bad behavior.
Basic obedience training, along with constant reinforcement of the commands can provide the dog with a task. This is particularly crucial for high-energy breeds such as German Shepherds and Border Collies. Conducting training sessions with breeds such as these is ideal for letting these high-energy dogs expend their energy and have fun with you at the same time.
Making your training sessions fun is a great way to prevent boredom for both you and the dog. Playing with your dog while training him strengthen the bond of love and trust between you – the pack leader – and your dog.

Mountain Bikes Buying Guide
How to choose a mountain bike depends on what you are going to do with it, if all you want your new mountain bike for is going for a nice leisurely ride on the canal path or a ride in the woods with the dog, well you wont need a full suspension downhill machine with 4 inch travel on the forks and a fully articulated rear end with damping and rebound control.
Where to Start From
If you do want to go for an easy ride in the park you don’t need to spend too much, if you think you will do any off-road riding then big tread tires maybe all you need, but if you think you might try some rough stuff then you will need suspension. Gears will probably be Shimano, brakes must be V-brakes, but could be made by a few different manufacturers, all the rest of the MTB components will depend on how much you can spend.
If you go to your local bike shop or big sports store and see what they’ve got to offer, then buy it or have look on the Internet and maybe you’ll find the same thing at a better price.
The Next Step Up
So maybe you want to be a bit more adventurous, more off-road, more forest tracks and dry boulder river beds, then you’ll need something a little lighter, with suspension forks. All this will cost you more money, but will be worth it for the extra enjoyment and adventure. With a better mountain bike it will have a sportier handling and because it is lighter, it will be easier to struggle up the hills before you come flying down the other side.
The components will again be Shimano and the quality will depend on how much money you can spend. V-brakes and Rapid-fire gear shifters, along with Shimano chain set, bottom bracket and headset. Handle bars, stem and seat pin should be alloy and along with a comfortable saddle you’ll be set to take to the hills.
More Money, More Bike
The next rung up on the mountain bike ladder would be good enough to race on. There are many to choose from, get on the net and surf the bike manufacturers sites and all the shop sites along with the magazines for juicy photos of the bikes. The top manufacturers in this price range, I would say are: - Trek, Giant, Specialized and Cannondale, these companies make the nicest frames with the best mountain bike parts available at the price, gears will be either Shimano or SRAM, brakes could be V-brakes or cable disc brakes, both are very good and light, most of the other MTB parts, of course will be Shimano and as usual get the best you can afford.
There are many combinations of hubs and rims to make up your wheels; hubs from Shimano and rims form Mavic are the usual mix. Then you have to choose which suspension forks to put on you bike, you may not get a choice, depending on which bike you buy, the main ones are Suntour, Marzocchi, Manitou, Fox, RockShox and RST, buy any of these and you wont go far wrong.
Top Bikes…. Top Money
If you want what the professionals ride you will have to pay a lot of money a professional MTB. As with road bike at the top of the range, you can specify what you want to build up your dream bike.
Top bikes frames to spend your money on could be Klien, Scott, Rocky Mountain, Gary Fisher, Santa Cruz and K2; these are some of the most sought after bike frames in the world and would be the envy of your friends.
Probably the best forks to put on your frame would be RockShox SID’s these are light and do all the things you need with control of all functions, there are many other to also to consider, look at how much travel they have and the rebound and damping systems.
Gears again will be either SRAM or Shimano Rapid fire, XT or XTR, more money could be spent on carbon or very light alloy cranks, the brakes should be hydraulic discs from Hayes, Pace or Magura or stick to the trusted V-bakes.
Wheels from Shimano or Mavic or some fancy carbon wheels, but remember they will have to take a lot of punishment, so maybe better to go for reliability over light weight expense.
Carbon handle bars, stem and seat pin and a light weight race saddle and Time or Shimano SPD clipless pedals, then your choice of tires will depend on what terrain and ground conditions you are going to ride on.
And Downhilling?
Downhill bikes are very different, more like a cross country motor bike, but without the engine, low center of gravity and a lot of travel on the suspension on the forks and the rear end, disc brakes, wide rims and fat tires, gears are only at the back as usually a single chain set is used.
Unless you're going to do a lot of downhill racing then there isn’t much point in buying one as you have to get up the hill first before you can come down and as light weight is not an issue with downhill bikes, they are very heavy to get uphill with out the use of a tow rope or a ski lift.
Power on!

Avoid These Debt Consolidation Scams
The web communications revolution has provided many unprecedented opportunities for commerce – and unfortunately, quite a few opportunities for swindlers to prey on the gullible. This is just as true for debt consolidation as for anything else. Here are some debt consolidation scams to stay away from:
1. “Free Debt Consolidation Services”
Why are these guys doing it for free? How are they making money? Do be aware, though, that cheap debt consolidation services are not always a rip-off, although it would be a good idea to take a second look at anything that sounds too good to be true.
2. Consolidate Your Debts Using Free Government Grants
Yeah, right. The woods are thick with companies that offer information about “free government grants”. Haven’t you heard? Uncle Sam is giving away money like candy (which explains our high taxes!). And you can use this money any way you like – for example, to consolidate your debts. It’s true that the government gives loads of grant money, but I have yet to hear of a Citizen Lifestyle Enhancement Fund. It’s not easy to qualify for government grants, you have to spend the money for a particular purpose, and using it to consolidate your bills might just win you a free bonus – a five-year vacation at the Club Fed.
3. “No Repayment Necessary”
I don’t quite know quite why I included this one, except for entertainment value – if you can read then you’re probably too smart to fall for it. Anyway, here goes:
Did you know that banking laws prohibit the charging of interest, and that the Supreme Court has backed this up with several decisions? You can borrow money, fail to pay it back, and then retain a smooth attorney to get you out of paying it back – after all, they had no legal right to lend you the money. Would you like to know how? Well, for the low, low price of $69.95…
If you fall for this one then I’ve got some swampland in Florida I’d like to sell you sight-unseen. Oh, and by the way, even if banking law DID prohibit the charging of interest, you’d still have to pay back the principal.
Most debt consolidation swindles are see-through because they aim to take advantage of somebody in financial and emotional distress.
Stop, take a breath, and think about it before you sign anything!

The Road To Genius
If you are interested in the theories of quantum physics you will know that the very observation of certain experiments has been shown to affect their outcome. Without going too deep, the implication is that the experimenters are somehow connected to the experiment itself and no matter what they do, they are unable to prevent their influence over it. On the level of meta-physics this is evidence of our oneness with everything. Somehow we are connected to everything outside of us and have access to all there is to know but at the same time are separated by the illusion of our apparent individuality.
But what is it that makes us all appear to be different? Have you ever wondered why certain people exhibit genius qualities? What is that makes a child a chess grandmaster, a great mathematician or a virtuoso musician well before their time? Is it in the power of their mind or is the secret in how they are wired?
For a moment imagine we are all connected to pure consciousness through a series of channels. These channels exist because of our idea of separation and where we feel our place is in the world. Our minds have flourished on this idea of separation. All the ideas we hold about ourselves including our status, our background, our race etc have allowed the mind to take control of our lives. This control has a direct bearing on the number and strength of channels open to us. They are what makes us different and why some people are excellent in given fields whilst other people struggle.
It seems that access to pure consciousness is prevented by the mind. Not only are the channels forged by the mind through its idea of separation, they are also blocked by the mind's activity. Like noise on a radio the mind interferes with the channels that keep us connected to our true self. we live by the mind and through the mind and only on occasion do we glimpse the greater powers that be.
Have you noticed that the harder you think about a problem the more illusive the solution? Yet, when you still the mind or stop thinking about it the answer seems to come to you from nowhere? This is an open channel to the greater self that is free from the interference of the mind. The best solutions come from beyond the mind!
You see, the mind can only give you solutions to problems based on past experience and knowledge. Most famous artists, musicians, writers and scientists have all said that their greatest ideas come from a deeper place than the mind. We all experience this on certain levels because we are all connected to the greater self through many channels. It's just that the stronger connections go hand in hand with our greater skills; those skills we practice the most!
When an apprentice exceeds the master's ability where has the new found talent come from? The same can be said for those we consider genius. Somehow, at whatever age they have found a strong and open channel to the greater self. And, they keep this channel strong through constant practice. It is practice that lowers the level of mind noise and keeps the channel open to new ideas.
And here is the key for the rest of us. These channels allow each and everyone of us to develop the qualities of genius. When we consistently practice something we open up the channels to the greater essence of the thing we are practicing. We tune into a greater power that makes us exceed the abilities of our mentors. We become classified as a genius. In effect we become a genius in whatever it is we practice long and hard enough at.
Practice really is the road to perfection!
Now, bring forth the Nobel prizes... ;-P

5 Reasons To Study A Foreign Language
Many schools or universities require the study of a foreign language. Before you start resenting the very idea of it, consider that it could be to your advantage for you to study and master a foreign language. Make no mistake about it: the whole world does NOT speak English. For anyone who has travelled to anywhere but the very largest of the world’s capitals, local people still primarily speak the local language and not English. To speak with them, the only way to do so will be to learn their language.
Here are 5 reasons to why you should study a foreign language:
1. Meet new friends: Learning a foreign language opens up the door to your getting to know more people and expanding your social network. If you are studying a language such as Spanish, Portuguese, or Chinese that is spoken by a large percentage of the population, you will be literally potentially tapping into a communication network with hundreds of millions of people that was previously off limits to you. If you are studying a less popular language, just think how much more valuable you will be since there are fewer foreign speakers of it.
2. Become a more globally-viable businessperson: In the world of business, communication is king. It does not matter how well you can program a computer, do accounting, or design new products: if you cannot communicate with other people, you will not find the success you deserve in the business world. Learning to communicate in a foreign language effectively increases your value as a communicator. And, many people who become proficient in a foreign language end up actually improving their skills as a communicator in their native language, as well. Learning a foreign language makes you a better communicator overall, and it therefore makes you a more attractive employee or partner in the world of business.
3. Expand your mind: Speaking a foreign language with fluency truly means switching channels to another way of thinking. Once you become fluent enough in the foreign language you are studying, you will find your consciousness actually expanding to accommodate your new ability. Each language has its own set of vocabulary, phrases, and concepts that do not directly translate to other languages. The result for multilingual people is that they actually force their neurons to grow and connect in new ways. Effectively, you become a little bit smarter and more mentally flexible.
4. Become more attractive: Looking to impress your husband, wife, date, or that cute person that you see whenever you go shopping? Becoming conversant in a foreign language is a great way to bring yourself up a notch on the attractiveness scale. People who expand their horizons are almost always perceived as more attractive than those who are always happy with the same-old stuff, year after year.
5. Understand the world better: The world is getting smaller. Leaders and individuals in different countries are making decisions each day that affect all of us in economic, environmental, and political terms. By studying a foreign language, you equip yourself with an additional lens through which to view the actions, thoughts, and worldviews of other people. This will help you make more balanced decisions about how to act or react when you learn about world events.
Mastering a foreign language can be quite a challenge, but for each new word you memorize, for each new verb you learn to conjugate, you will be making yourself more interesting, more economically viable, and even a bit smarter and more attractive.
Here's to that!

Three Kinds Of Martial Art Students
There are three kinds of students: the superior student, the average student, and the inferior student.
The superior student has admirable qualities. He trusts his instructors implicitly and follows whatever instructions are given him without complaint or debate. He understands that his instructors were once students, too. He understands that his instructors only have his welfare in mind when they teach him.
The superior student is pliable, honest, sincere, respectful, and has a zest to learn. He understands that mastery in the martial arts, or in any endeavor, does not happen over night. He knows that it often takes a long time to achieve proficiency and, understanding that, he is more than willing to make that noble commitment.
The superior student practices diligently at home and looks forward with joy to each and every class. Further, he learns from the mistakes committed by others and avoids perpetrating those same mistakes himself. When he does make a mistake, he understands that it is a natural part of the learning process and does not become sullen or angry when receiving correction. The superior student is worthy of both respect and admiration of his instructors.
The average student is one who likes the idea of learning but lacks the drive necessary to carry him all the way through the rigorous process. At times, he grows angry and questions both authority and motive. If it is raining or snowing, he may not show up for class. He practices at home only when the mood strikes him and that is not very often. He sees the mistakes of others but, more often than not, learns nothing from those mistakes. Only when he makes those mistakes himself does he learn.
The inferior student, oddly enough does not even know why he is studying a martial arts in the first place. Maybe it was choice between joining a bowling league or spending his night "playing" at the martial arts. Maybe he happened to see a martial arts movie one night and was so taken by the ease the hero or heroine used their martial skills to defeat an enemy that he ran right out the next day and enrolled in a school, thinking he could achieve that same level of mastery within a few weeks of training.
His attendance in class is faltering, at best. When he does manage to show up for class, the inferior student is only half there and his training is only half-hearted. He questions both the instructor’s manners and motives. For instance, if the instructor is teaching him the precepts of the art, he cannot believe that the instructor himself actually practices those precepts. In fact he cannot believe that anyone, anywhere, at any time, does actually practice such noble principles.
Why does he believe this? Because he, himself, believes only in the myriad things in life that bind him eternally to worldliness and misery. He understands nothing of life, nothing of the world, and bases all of his opinions on the illusions he has created in his mind. To him, his instructor is nothing more than someone he hired to entertain him a few hours a night. This self centered, egotistical attitude leads him to believe, falsely, that the instructor he "hired" should be eternally indebted to him for his patronage.
The inferior student attends class only when there is nothing worth his while watching on television, such as an "important" football game or a favorite movie. In class, he is unmotivated to learn, and is more interested in socializing with the other students than he is applying himself to practice. Inferior students are to be avoided by serious instructors. These, then, are the three types of students.
A person should always endeavor to become a superior student, especially if he really wants to learn anything well. Regardless of what course one is taking-whether it is a martial art, a college course, or a tennis lesson-one must always strive to be a superior student. It is the noble thing to do.
So, as Miss Piggy would say, "Heeeee-yah!"

5 Reasons Why You Should Consider Bamboo Hardwood Flooring
Choosing hardwood flooring over other options such as laminate, linoleum or carpet is no small decision.

Let’s look at these five main reasons why bamboo flooring mat be your best choice.
Warm Environment - Bamboo flooring provides a warm finish because of the natural grains and growth patterns that occur in the boards. While many traditional hardwood choices do give you a beautiful floor, but it is one that also looks like it should be in a gymnasium or an auditorium. Bamboo flooring allows you to create a stunning flooring finish that exudes warmth and comfort.
Strength and Durability - Bamboo is the perfect choice for a highly durable, strong floor that can stand up to the use and abuse that animals and children can deliver. It can even resist the drop of a pan in the kitchen as well as high traffic areas such as living rooms and hallways.
Environmentally Responsible - Bamboo flooring is the most environmentally responsible choice for hardwood, because it is not a wood at all. It is actually a grass that can reach its full maturity in only five years. When the bamboo plant is harvested, it sends out runners spawning new plants all around them. Because bamboo is a renewable resource, you are making an environmentally responsible choice.
Color & Style - The natural color of bamboo is a natural blond color that shows the grains of the wood and the natural growth pattern that provides a warm color that matches every décor. The other color option is achieved in a smoking process that carbonizes the grains in the wood, resulting in a rich amber color, which is a stunning, darker variation.

Your Dog's Intelligence - Could Dogs Be Smarter than Their Owners?
The intelligence of the dog is among the highest of all the animals, maybe higher than we give him credit for. Although his brain is proportionately only half as large as ours, he is certainly the most intelligent of domestic animals.
As with humans, individual intelligence varies greatly according to inherited genes. While no one breed can be said to be more intelligent that another, some breeds that have been selectively bred for work ability are often brighter and more receptive than those bred primarily for purely physical attributes.
Whether a dog is a mixed breed for purebred, studies have shown that neither is much more intelligent than the other. However, dogs that have been exposed to a more varied lifestyle, both indoors and out, and with both human and animal interaction, does show more intelligent behavior.
Simply put, giving your dog an opportunity to investigate and manipulate all sorts of objects, to explore all sorts of places, to share all sorts of experiences with you will stimulate his or her intelligence. Aside from getting a lot more out of life, your dog will be eager to learn more and he will learn with increasing ease and rapidity. Nothing is sadder and more wasteful than an intelligent dog that is confined in a kennel and deprived of mental stimulation.
Despite opinions to the contrary, dogs are endowed with an elementary reasoning power. Anyone who has ever owned a dog has often seen him size up a situation and then taken some logical action. Guide dogs for the blind, as well as working and hunting dogs of many breeds constantly have to use their judgment and make decisions.
Memory is an important component of intelligence. The dog's memory for scents is extraordinary. His visual memory is only fair, but his memory for sounds is very good, since he can remember and identify familiar voices even after an absence of many years. While he builds up a large store of identifiable sounds without the slightest effort, remembering different words requires more concentration.
The dog's capacity for learning is more a matter of memory than of true understanding. He will remember the sequence of cause and effect in his actions, but he is unable to draw broad conclusions from his experience. The greater the variety of experiences and contact with others they have, the quicker they learn, and the more they retain.
Dogs are bound by nature to remain intellectually inferior to man, but we owe them a chance to develop their native intelligence by training, teaching, and working with them as much and as often as we can.
Ruff, ruff!

What You Need to Know to Make a Scrapbook
The first thing you need to know about making a scrapbook is that it isn’t a complicated process at all. Scrapbooking isn’t just for the ‘crafty’ people among us either. In fact, you don’t need to have any ‘crafting’ skills at all, in order to create a scrapbook of memories that will last for generations to come.
Scrapbooking is a way to take those photographs, and things that hold special meaning, out from the standard, and (yawn) boring photo albums, and the boxes where they are being stored, to add personality to and truly capture the ‘essence’ of what these mean to you.
There are so many books, DVD’s, software programs, scrapbook stores, and internet sites dedicated to scrapbooking that anyone can do it. In books, and DVD’s about scrapbooking you will find ideas and tips on how to create personalized pages for your scrapbook, some even have patterns that are easily copied for use in the designing of your scrapbook. Most software programs have templates built into them for a fast and simple way to decorate your scrapbook. Scrapbook stores, online and off, and web sites for scrapbooking are all good resources to find design ideas for your scrapbook as well as the supplies you will need to complete your project. You will even find information on how best to join or bind your personal pages together once you have created them to make a lasting keepsake that you will cherish. With such a wealth of information, materials, supplies, and services available today: it is no wonder that scrapbooking has become so popular, and fun for so many.
Some of the unique supplies available for you to use in making a scrapbook and that also helps to make this such an easy and enjoyable activity for so many include items such as:
•Stickers
•Pre-Filled Labels
•Patterns
•Stencils
•Serrated- Scissors
•Designer Papers
•Glitter Pens
•Cut-outs
•Ribbons
•Buttons
•Binders
Making a scrapbook of memories doesn’t have to be an expensive endeavor either. You can find many of these things at discounted prices and you may already have some of these items around the house, in the kids craft box for example. Scrapbook making is especially fun for children. Let them get out the construction paper and cut out picture from magazines or old greeting cards to glue on their very own special pages. Encourage them to be creative using markers, crayons, glitter pens, stencils, buttons, small pieces of fabric, or whatever else you can come up with together. You can punch holes in the pages that they create and then let them loop the pages together with ribbon or yarn. This is an activity that will keep the kids busy for long periods of time and is also an activity that you can enjoy right along with them.
Once you have all constructed your own unique scrapbooks, you can share them with one another to get a different perspective on old photographs and memories. Recall the memories of the events displayed in your scrapbooks and share love, laughter, and life-lessons with each other.
It is time to bring those pictures and mementos that hold such precious memories, out from the confines of drab albums and dark boxes, so that they can be displayed in a manner that best represents their full meaning to you and those you share these treasure books with. Create your keepsake treasure by making a scrapbook today!
Not actually just for housewives and nannas. Scrapbooks can be pretty funky if you know what you're doing! =)

La Femme Nikita (DVD) Review
Nominated for 18 Gemini Awards (which honor the English language achievements of Canadian television), La Femme Nikita established itself as a stalwart on the USA Network in the late-1990s. Based on the 1990 motion picture of the same name, La Femme Nikita changed its cast, but not its edgy characters and exciting underworld setting. A forerunner to the successful hit series Alias, the show features all the intrigue of its successor coupled with the fast-paced action of 24. An hour-long action/adventure drama series, La Femme Nikita premiered on the first day of 1997 and quickly built a loyal fan base that followed the series for five stellar seasons before its premature cancellation in Spring 2001…
La Femme Nikita follows the life of Nikita (Peta Wilson), a woman wrongfully convicted of a brutal murder. Sentenced to life in prison, a top-secret government agency known only as Section One sets its sights on the woman it believes to be a ruthless killer. Faking Nikita's suicide, they usher her out of prison to train and program her into a willing and obedient assassin. But the conspirators at Section One didn't bank on Nikita's innocence. Now, they're stuck with a bloodthirsty felon who's not as bloodthirsty as they thought. Nevertheless, Nikita (now code-named 'Josephine') must carry out the orders of her superiors or else face her own death at the hands of an organization intent on keeping its secrets from the outside world. La Femme Nikita boasts an excellent cast to compliment Nikita's numerous adventures, among them are Michael Samuelle (Roy Dupuis), Davenport (Lawrence Bayne), Seymour Birkoff (Matthew Ferguson), Walter (Don Francks), and Paul "Operations" Wolfe (Eugene Robert Glazer). Together, they create an intriguing atmosphere of mysterious identities, ruthless assassins, and government conspiracies that is certain to entertain even the most discriminating of viewers…
The La Femme Nikita DVD features a number of exciting episodes including the series premiere "Nikita" in which Nikita, a lone girl living on the streets, is wrongfully convicted of a murder she did not commit. When the government fakes her prison cell suicide, Nikita awakes in the care of Section One, a super secret government entity with the goal of turning Nikita into an anti-terrorist assassin. But Nikita, who is innocent, initially resists the brainwashing techniques before finally submitting to the organization in order to stay alive… Other notable episodes from Season 1 include "Gray" in which a hacker compromises the employee database of Section One, and "Noise" in which Birkoff's fear of dying while on a mission threatens to end his career with Section One…

You Get What You Ask For
In life we get what we ask for.
Now you surely say that it isn’t true. You say you ask for freedom and happiness and all you got was feeling imprisoned and bad.
Let’s have a closer look to how creation works and how our subconscious mind works. Because it’s the same.
Everything that exists is created in someone’s mind. Everything starts with a thought. A thought is an energy. Energy wants to manifest itself. A lot of thoughts in the same direction will, that’s for sure, manifest in the real world.
This is the process of creation.
We are created by the same process. We use this process of creation all the time,
without knowing it.
When we are not conscious, then we are like most people and use this power to create a negative life. We have negative thoughts and get negative results.
Once we learn how to think positive thoughts, we will get positive results in our life.
How come? Our subconscious mind is like the earth. It does not interfere with what we sow. Earth does not say :”Nja I have enough of these carottes, it’s every time the same thing, I will make potatoes of it!” Earth does not say : “Bah I don’t like red flowers, I will turn the red into blue for these roses!” Earth does not interfere. Earth is patient, works in silence and gives us exactly what we put in it. And we KNOW that! We know we will get exactly what we put in the earth. When we put yellow flowers in it, we don’t expect them to be red when they blossom. When we sow roses in the garden we don’t expect onions to come out in spring!
And yet that’s how we react in real life. We sow onions and expect roses. We sow negative thoughts in our mind (onions) and expect good things (roses) to come out! We fool ourselves! And we blame others. We look for who can possibly be the fault of that (usually we blame the parents or the husband/wife for what goes wrong in our life). And then we cry and say we don’t have any luck in our lives. We look at the neighbour and think he’s lucky because he has roses in his garden, and we wonder what we did to the world to deserve only onions in our garden!
When the mainstream of your thoughts is negative, let’s say for 85 %, than the outcome will be negative for 85%. Your thoughts fall into your subconscious mind, which executes exactly what you put in it. It is like the earth. It is like a computer. When you type in your computer : “I am stupid, I am fat, I am ugly, nobody loves me”, are you angry with your printer when the paper comes out that says “I am stupid, I am fat, I am ugly, nobody loves me”? Do you throw a shoe at your computer and do you yell at him that he is the fault of everything that’s going wrong? No, because you know you put that information in it and your computer does not interfere. The output matches exactly the input.
So works our subconscious mind. If you don’t like the output, change the input. You get exactly what you ask for = what you think of the whole day. Don’t be angry with your life. You are not angry with the onions, are you? You are not angry with your computer, are you? Instead of being angry, learn how it works and learn to get positive results in your life. Start thinking positive thoughts. Think only thoughts you wish to see happen in real life. Think only what you want to become true. And wait for a while, be patient. One day you will harvest what you sew, like you know earth will give you back what you put in it. It is never lost.
Just wait and see.
